Neighborhood Vibe
The Neighborhood
Named after President Andrew Jackson who was nicknamed "Old Hickory", the community of Old Hickory sits in the northeast corner of Davidson County between Old Hickory Lake and its output, the Cumberland River. The area is home to the former President's estate, the Hermitage, and is a hot spot for locals looking for lakefront property or weekend recreation.
The Market
Though dominated by single-family homes, the area does offer some variety with newer townhomes and condo developments. There are many lakefront properties as well, serving as both full-time and vacation homes.
The Lifestyle
Though inside of Davidson County lines, Old Hickory feels more like a lakeside community farther than a few miles outside of town. With easy access to the river or the lake, three golf courses, and historical significance thanks to one of Tennessee's three former Presidents, the town has a laid-back easy feeling and is perfect for both vacationing and full-time families. It's proximity to Nashville puts a little of everything at your fingertips.
