3 Paint Colors to Incorporate in Your Home for 2015

At the beginning of the year, the world’s greatest interior designers get together to determine the colors of the year. Check out a few of their selections below and start planning the interior style of your new home!

Guilford Green

According to Benjamin Moore, their chosen color of the year is Guilford Green. As they describe, this silvery green color works with every design, home layout, and type of furniture. The bathroom below uses the Guilford Green color, along with another Benjamin Moore paint known as Seahorse.

Use Neutral Gray In Your Home

Instead of soft whites or tans, use gray as your neutral color in 2015. Gray offers a wide selection of shades for you to use. From light grays against bold colors, to dark grays combined with soft shades of bright color, the possibilities are virtually endless.

Neutral gray interior design styles are great for making a room appear larger than reality. However, if you use darker shades of gray, be careful of ‘overdoing it’, as it will make the room appear smaller.

Plenty of Pastels

Soft pastel colors such as dandelion and blush are coming back to play in 2015. As paint company, Behr, explains “Pastels are no longer just for nurseries anymore — especially when you combine them with zesty modern accents”.

The sweet and soft pastel colors were once banished to rooms for children, such as the nursery or playroom. Now, these colors are able to convey a specific emotion or atmosphere in any room of your home.
