Parks is proud to highlight an amazing agent from our Sumner office, Barry McKeever!

Barry has been a part of the Parks family for over two years and a licensed real estate agent for over 20 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and specializes in working with relocating buyers – as he recently was one.

Barry started his career doing mortgages and working as a real estate agent in California. He managed his own branch before starting his own real estate and mortgage company. In 2010, Barry transitioned to working exclusively on his own as a real estate agent. Fast forward to 2018, he and his family packed up and moved to Tennessee where he started at Parks and knew no one.

“In just two years, Barry has gotten plugged into the Sumner County community. He made the Top 5 in our office regularly in 2020 and even made the Top 50 in the company this past December. Barry served on our office’s Circle of Leaders in 2020 and will be serving again in 2021. He is very supportive of Parks and me as his broker,” said Kindle Hughes, Managing Broker of Parks in Sumner.

Barry chose to pursue a career in real estate because he has always had a fascination with the industry. He also wanted to have a flexible schedule so he could work his own hours without any limitation on his earning potential. Barry loves that real estate gives him the opportunity to help people with one of the most important events of their life.

When asked why he chose to join the Parks Family of REALTORS®, Barry stated, “The blend of being a big firm with outstanding tools and support, all while having a small firm feel, is very rare. I was looking for a company that was big enough to have a name, yet small enough to know my name.” He continued, “Although I came to Tennessee with almost 20 years of experience, I had to relearn how to do business in a different state. I feel so blessed to have made the decision to partner with Parks. Parks has reignited my passion for real estate and showed me how to maximize my strengths.”

If Barry could offer some tips to new agents, they would be to embrace Ninja Selling and to immerse yourself in the Parks education system. “These two systems are the best in the business. Nothing can replace action. You never think you're ready for the next step, whatever that may be, but you are,” he stated.

Barry and his wife work side-by-side in their real estate business. They have a wonderful family of four girls and two boys with ages ranging from 5 to 24 years old. In his spare time, Barry enjoys having friends over and cooking for them, watching his kids sporting events, and watching college football. Fun Facts: Barry played on the Stanford football team and was inducted into his high school’s Sports Hall of Fame.
