Nashville is beloved for its world-famous musicians, chefs, and exciting nightlife. If you head up above the city, you’ll escape the heat and the crowds while still enjoying majestic views, outstanding brews, and a range of delightful cuisines.

Our guide to the Best Rooftop Experiences will give you the inside scoop on both up-and-coming rooftop destinations and beloved Nashville favorites. Some of the hottest destinations fill up fast, so make reservations when you can, or arrive early if a venue doesn’t offer this service.

L27 Rooftop Lounge at The Westin

807 Clark Place | Nashville

The tallest rooftop lounge in Nashville is located on the 27th floor of the Westin hotel. This luxurious lounge has a beautiful pool (open to guests of the Westin) and offers unparalleled views of the city. Rent a cabana if you’d like to spend the day beside the pool enjoying cocktails, or arrive closer to sunset to watch the city and the rooftop transform as night descends. The menu features delicious – yet light – small plates paired with handcrafted cocktails.

Up, a Rooftop Lounge at the Fairfield Inn & Suites

901 Division Street | Nashville

This friendly, welcoming spot is ideal for casual dinners and small groups. Serving up generous portions of both classic Nashville favorites and farm-to-table seasonal offerings against a glorious, expansive view of the city, Up should be on your list when you want to escape from the hot summer streets without battling crowds for petite plates.

L.A. Jackson at The Thompson Hotel

401 11th Ave South | Nashville

L.A. Jackson is ideal for taking Instagram shots and discovering your inner diva. When you want to feel like celebrity royalty, join locals and tourists above the beloved Thompson Hotel for swanky, adventurous small plates, creative craft cocktails, and a stunning panoramic view of Nashville.

Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery

111 Broadway | Nashville

Rock Bottom is a local chain catering to those who want handcrafted brews, handmade local eats, and a friendly crowd of locals to hang out with.  The rooftop offers a small sampling of the full menu, so consider having appetizers and beers on the roof, then heading downstairs when you’re hungry for dinner.

Nashville Underground

105 Broadway | Nashville

Nashville Underground is crowned by the city’s only 2-level rooftop patio. On the top level you’ll find a dog-friendly, real grass rooftop, casual Nashville dining, and incredible 360-degree views of the city. Below you’ll find two huge video walls, an LED video dance floor, and a full restaurant.

Acme Feed & Seed

101 Broadway | Nashville

This 4-story concept space is topped by an open, airy rooftop bar with sweeping views of the entirety of downtown. Enter on the first floor; you’ll order and settle your bill right here in the honky-tonk. Once you’ve got your food, you’re free to head up through the sushi bar, lounge, arcade, and television areas until you emerge on the rooftop.

The menu offerings at Acme are mainly creative twists on southern faves, though the sushi bar is a delightful departure for those looking for something a little different.

The George Jones

128 2nd Ave North | Nashville

This unique venue is a museum, smokehouse, and bar serving as a tribute to the beloved country great George Jones. The rooftop bar serves up craft cocktails for you to savor as you linger over authentic BBQ and dreamy views of downtown and the river.

Virago

1126 McGavock Street | Nashville

Locals have called out Virago as offering the best of Nashville for both cuisine and outstanding service. When you’re craving Asian fusion eats, craft cocktails, an extensive sake list, and a sleek, modern experience, Virago should be your undisputed destination. You’ll take in stunning views of Downtown Nashville from the terrace, and there are plenty of cooked options for those who prefer to skip the sushi.

Jason Aldean’s Kitchen & Rooftop Bar

307 Broadway | Nashville

Serving up classic Nashville comfort food, great cocktails, and brews, this rocking music and dance venue’s rooftop bar boasts gorgeous panoramic views of downtown. With 4 levels in all, this saloon caters to the whole family; kids get extra dancing time during daylight hours! Great for groups and cutting loose, it’s a pretty busy spot. They don’t take reservations, so we recommend getting there early to put your name down ahead of when you want to eat.

Unopened Franklin Rooftop Bar

231 Public Square | Franklin

Though this highly anticipated rooftop venue is not yet open, it’s already accepting some reservations. The space will be usable year-round thanks to its retractable glass covering, and as the only rooftop restaurant in the Williamson County, it’s expected to remain in high demand.

The Stage on Broadway

412 Broadway | Nashville

This slightly Texan take on Nashville is a raucous spot to get a little crazy while you catch some country jams. With gorgeous murals, tasty whiskey, a great local crowd, and no cover charge, The Stage on Broadway has become one of downtown Nashville’s hottest rooftop destinations.

FGL House Cruise Rooftop

120 3rd Ave South | Nashville

The name might be confusing, but this rooftop bar is in neither Georgia nor Florida, nor is it a cruise-related rooftop. However, it is definitely owned by Florida Georgia Line! The rooftop bar is a hopping party any time of day or night, so ditch the busy city to enjoy a craft cocktail up above the chaos.

Nudie’s Honky Tonk

409 Broadway | Nashville

This local favorite is a three-story honky-tonk that culminates in a sun-drenched rooftop lounge. The musical talent you’ll find here pairs beautifully with the brews and outstanding service. Before you head upstairs, be sure to have a look above the stage to see a suspended classic 1975 El Dorado!

Tootsie’s World Famous Orchid Lounge

1 Terminal Dr. | Nashville

Arguably the most famous of the Nashville honky-tonks, this purple lounge has added a rooftop bar and stage. The icy brews are as fresh as the new talent you’ll see on the three stages, so you’ll need to get here early if you want a table. They’re not kidding about being world famous, y’know!
