At YMCA’s Camp Widjiwagan, campers enter a world of imagination where they are invited to strengthen social bonds and discover their untapped potential through games, rallies, and team-building activities.

With an emphasis on getting kids engaged in outdoor social activities, camp Widjiwagan is Tennessee’s classic summer camp for the child who wants to experience real adventures.

Daily activities include kayaking, swimming, archery, horseback riding, sailing, tandem ziplining, & more.

Mr. Bond and the Science Guys Camp
For the Young Scientist

If your child is more interested in robots and chemical reactions than in archery and hiking, Tennessee’s own Science Guys invite them to the Science Guys Camp.

The Science Guys are offering their half- or full-day camp experiences to an ever-growing list of Middle Tennessee locations.

Each camp has a different fun but educational theme including space, STEAM, engineering, or crazy chemistry.

At the space camp, your child can launch a rocket, reentry craft, and a mini-rover as well as investigate the reality of living in space during a long journey. Children will track the long journey to Mars and discuss survival in the planet’s hostile environment.

At the STEAM camp, your child will be immersed in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in each activity. Each day will bring new brain games and chemical reactions, all while observing how the various elements of STEAM work together to describe our reality.

At the engineering camp, your child will be the engineer and discover how engineering underpins everything we do. This is a hands-on learning camp; your child will design bridges, create robots, and test out circuitry that they’ve created themselves.

At the Crazy Chemistry camp, your child will enjoy creating explosions, bubbling potions, and orchestrating chemical reactions. Your child will freeze fruit with liquid nitrogen, create 20-foot geysers with cool chemicals, and learn about the elements on the periodic table. While this very hands-on camp experience prepares young scientists for later academic experiences in chemistry, this camp has been carefully created to be age-appropriate.

With many more camps for the budding young scientist in your life, Mr. Bond and The Science Guys camp deliver the premier summer science experience in Middle Tennessee.
