Fall Festivals in Middle Tennessee

The leaves are changing colors, the air is getting cooler, and Middle Tennessee is beginning to welcome fall. With fall comes pumpkin patches, hayrides, and festivals to enjoy with friends and family, and fortunately there are countless events to celebrate Autumn.
Cheekwood Harvest
Cheekwood has planned a month of family-friendly activities to showcase all that fall has to offer. From now until October 30th, enjoy scarecrows, a house made of all pumpkins (must see!), pumpkin patch, fairytale cottage, trains, and treehouse’s. This year, Cheekwood added something for the adults, the Cheekwood Beer Garden! Sip on craft beers on tap and delicious pub fare on a delightful autumn afternoon. Find out more information here.
Pumpkin Patch Festival (Hendersonville)
Located in Hendersonville at the Streets of Indian Lake, the Pumpkin Patch Festival will be in full-swing on October 8th from 10am-2pm. This is the perfect festival for a kid’s day out. Kids can experience a free pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting, a magic show, face painting, carnival games, live music and a costume contest! Check here for times and additional information.
Boo at the Zoo
Animals love to celebrate fall too! The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere will host Boo at the Zoo presented by The Children’s Hospital at Centennial and invites all “little ghosts and goblins” to dress up in their favorite costume and have some frightful fun. Tickets include trick-or-treating, hayrides, and carousel rides. Enjoy the fall festival field, story tail treat trail, enchanted village and the frightful farm. Pumpkinfest 2016
Come out to Middle Tennessee’s largest family fall festival, Pumpkinfest 2016! For it’s 33rd year, more than 65,000 people gather along Downtown Franklin’s main street to experience festive fall fun. Pumpkinfest covers everything you would expect to find at a fall festival, like costume contests, live entertainment, food and beer street vendors, pumpkin carving, photo ops, and even a circus show. You can even guess the weight of the “great pumpkin” located on the public square for a chance to win an awesome prize. Experience one of downtown Franklin’s most popular events on October 29th from 10am-6pm.
Twilight Trail (Murfreesboro)
The happiest hayride in Rutherford County! For $4, the family can participate in a backcountry hayride to put everyone in the fall spirit. The kids will have fun listening to story time, playing with live animals, playing games and watching a puppet show. October 21st and 22nd at Barfield Crescent Park from 5-7pm.
