Another month into 2018 and we are continuing in our drive to support local businesses! The Parks Family is partnering with a wonderful company this year to help us do that. LOLO, Locals Supporting Locals, is an amazing program for your Parks realtor to give to you! Each month, a completely free, new gift comes to your cell phone for you to enjoy. The gifts are selected by county and are only for local businesses, no nationwide chains!
LOLO helps remind us to shop local and support our friends and neighbors! Here are February’s gifts to you!
In February, Davidson County recipients will get to appease their sweet tooth at Leon’s Candy! Leon began cooking at a very young age, helping make sweet treats at his father’s store in Birmingham. He then spent many years working in the clothing industry but always dreamed of returning to sweets. He opened his amazing shop in downtown Nashville in 1994. His business has boomed since then. From the Food Network to being served at George W. Bush’s First State of the Union Address dinner, everybody loves his creations!
LOLO recipients will enjoy a three-piece box of pralines this month!
Sew What Gifts and Stiche is a wonderful gift shop located in the Cool Springs area. They offer embroidery, personalized gifts, and more! LOLO users can use their gift to pick out whatever beautiful item strikes their fancy. Their Instagram is beautiful and features so many unique ideas if you’d like to monogram something as well!

Residents of Rutherford County are in for a treat! Simply Pure Sweets is an amazing local business run by Chantell, a Murfreesboro local. After culinary school, she worked in hospitals, utilizing her nutrition degree. Though she loved helping people, she longed for the creativity the kitchen can allow. She decided it was then time to open up her own shop in her hometown!
LOLO recipients will enjoy a lunch combo this month. They have the choice of a sandwich or wrap with chips or a side. They can also enjoy a tea, lemonade, or Italian soda! We highly suggest adding on a pastry through! From cinnamon rolls to macaroons, everything is so delicious!
Located north of Historic Downtown Gallatin, Starr Ranch serves up contemporary southern cuisine. They blend Texas and Tennessee style to create delicious southern concoctions. Their Yelp reviews are off the charts and customers brag about pretty much everything on the menu so you really can’t go wrong!
