This community has developed into one of the most alluring places to live and do business in recent years. With some of the lowest tax rates in Tennessee and continued growth in the business sector. It’s fortunate to be one of the few cities that the region’s only daily train passes through, making it an ideal town for commuters into Nashville. Mt. Juliet is one of the fastest growing cities in the state, however, it’s able to keep its small-town charm and friendliness.
Providence Marketplace is a great place to start if you’re in the mood to shop, with over 60 stores and restaurants, plus the area’s most popular movie theater. The shopping center also hosts regular holiday events for guests as well as a summer concert series. Cedar Creek Sports Center offers some fun activities for families including go-carts, bumper boats, batting cages, and putt-putt golf.
Nearby golf courses including Pine Creek and Windtree Golf Club offer a great place to unwind on the weekends. The town is home to a great parks system that offers a range of activities. Jones Family Park offers a disc golf range and sand volleyball courts, Robinson Family Park offers walking trails through a certified wildlife habitat, and South Mt. Juliet Bark Park offers a playground for kids and a dog park for your four-legged friends. Perhaps the local’s favorite, Charlie Daniels Park is home to a skate park, basketball courts, a splash pad, and more. This is also where you’ll find the town’s weekly farmer’s market.
Within just a short drive, residents are able to enjoy several other parks and natural areas such as Longhunter State Park, as well as boating, fishing, or swimming at either Percy Priest Lake or Old Hickory Lake. Even if you’re not a boater, the Harbor Island Yacht Club on Old Hickory is a must visit during one of their 15 yearly regattas, or you can enroll your child in their summer sail camp if they’re interested after their visit.
After a fun day out, you’ll find the residents of Mt. Juliet enjoying a meal at one of the many unique restaurants the town has to offer. The Goat is a favorite for everything from brunch to late-night bites and beverages. For southern cuisine, you can’t go wrong at Norm’s Place Amish Market and Restaurant or with a visit to Courtney’s Restaurant for meat and three style dining. If you’re craving something a little different, locals recommend Persis Biryani Indian Grill or Margarita House for Mexican cuisine.
