Several businesses have popped up in Thompson’s Station, each making an impact on the culture of the town in their own unique way. Homestead Manor, a Georgian style home that served as a temporary hospital during the civil war, now serves many purposes including a farm to table restaurant, event venue, and as the home to the weekly farmer’s market. H Clark Distillery is becoming a popular attraction for both its tours and tasting room where visitors can sample Tennessee rye whiskey or bourbon.

Thompsons Station is home to a number of equine centers and has a fabulous horse culture with horse farms dotted along the countryside. You’ll find all levels of experience here: from beginners in need of riding lessons to expert jumpers looking for a professional arena to hobbyist just looking for beautiful trails to ride among charming settings.

LOCAL RESTAURANTS

Located in Downtown Thompson’s Station, this wonderful restaurant is housed by a former general store. This unique dining option pays homage to the history of the area by serving “sophisticated Southern cuisine.”

This restaurant is unique in that it is also a farm and a historic land site. Over 50-acres complete the property and every inch is covered in history! The restaurant on the property is called Harvest and is to-die-for! They serve Southern-inspired food and each meal is crafted carefully to include gourmet additions. Plus, all their vegetables are curated from the farm or from local farmers!

They are also known for their craft cocktails which they serve in what they call the “Glass Bar.” Enjoy incredible views of the garden while enjoying their expertly made drinks!


THINGS TO DO

Enjoy wandering the gorgeous greenway all the way through Thompson’s Station! The trails are long and follow some of the most stunning scenery in the area!


Along the greenway, Thompson’s Station has an amazing dog park! A local pet care center, Mars Petcare and Outdoor Encounter, partnered with the city to create 4 acres of space for your furry friends! With separate spaces for large and small animals, there is something for everyone!


H Clark Distillery is an incredible addition to the community. They create “hand-crafted Tennessee Bourbon, Gin, New Whiskey and Black & Tan Whiskey one small batch at a time.” They pay specific attention to the history of the alcohol they are creating and aim to respect that history.

SCHOOL SYSTEM

Williamson County has a wonderful school system and Thompson’s Station residents greatly appreciate that! This city has three elementary schools, and a wonderful middle and high school to send their children to!

Thompson’s Station is perfectly centered by both Franklin and Brentwood which are the homes to a number of private education options! Spring Hill Christian Academy, Battleground Academy, Brentwood Academy, The Classical Academy, and Franklin Christian Academy are just some of the local options!
