Tennessee has a special connection to Ireland through the early waves of newcomers to this region, most of whom were English and Scots-Irish. Nashville itself was founded by two Irishmen, and recent census reports reveal that more than 10% of Tennessee residents claim Irish or Scots-Irish ancestry.

Our music and our cuisine reflect and celebrate our Irish influence, perhaps never more so than during the festivities around St. Patrick’s Day! Today, we’re bringing you our guide to the top St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Middle TN, Memphis, and one special event located six miles outside Chattanooga.
